Go, Johnny, Go! (1959) Insert Movie Poster

Go, Johnny, Go! – gotta love that title! – was released by Hal Roach Studios in 1959. The movie features quite a lineup of early rock 'n' roll stars, including Chuck Berry, Jimmy Clanton, Ritchie Valens, the Flamingoes, the Cadillacs, Jackie Wilson and Eddie Cochran. Presiding over the rock 'n' roll festivities is legendary DJ Alan Freed. An insert poster (14x36-inches) in folded very fine- condition sold at auction for $382.40.

Rock Baby Rock It (1957) One Sheet Movie Poster

Johnny Carroll, Preacher Smith and the Deacons, Cell Block Seven, Kay Wheeler and The Five Stars headline this rock 'n' roll film released by Freebar in 1957. A standard one sheet poster (27x41-inches) in folded very fine+ condition "rocked" its way to a winning bid of $161.33 at auction.

Woodstock (1970) One Sheet Movie Poster

The legendary Woodstock concert and its gaggle of performers – Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez, Country Joe and the Fish, Ten Years After, et al., – come alive in this documentary film produced by Warner Brothers in 1970. Prince heads the cast in this legendary rock film released by Warner Brothers in 1984. A one sheet poster (27x41-inches) in folded near mint condition sold at auction for $38.

The Concert for Bangladesh (1972) Japanese STB Movie Poster

George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Badfinger and Leon Russell head this rock documentary on the legendary relief concert for Bangladesh. A Japanese STB poster (20x58-inches) in rolled very fine condition sold at auction for a reasonable $26.

Yellow Submarine (1968) British Quad Movie Poster

The Beatles star in this charming animated film released by United Artists in 1968. A restored British quad poster (30x40-inches) in fine condition on linen sailed to a winning bid of $1,613.25 at auction.

I've never even seen that particular Woodstock poster.

What a benefit to collectors to know this information.Thank you.

My husband went to a Jimmi Hendrix concert years ago at Boston Garden. He purchases a poster and that was thrown away about 10 years ago. While watching, Antiques Roadshow, someone had the same poster that my husband had bought years ago. I can't remember the exact price, but the poster is now worth about $10,000!
